 Marcina Arnold, internationally recognised as a singer-songwriter with a remarkable journey spanning over four decades. 

My career has led me through a plethora of genres, from the pulsing world of jazz to the hearty narratives of global folk & Celtic Music. My musical voyage has been nothing short of extraordinary.

 UK based Marcina’s multi ethnic background reflects her musical diversity and she is at ease singing Blues, Jazz, Soul, RnB, Folk, Gospel, Bossa Nova, World music including Cape Malay Funk. Marcina has done voice studies in India exploring the salient elements of Hindustani Classical Music. Marcina's improvisational skills are off the hook she has trained in vocal improvisation in the South African style of Zabalaza by Eugene Skeef the limitless voice in freedom.. & with her first voice teacher Maggie Nichols.

A multi instrumentalist Marcina trained in Djembe and rhythm with Eugene Skeef, Thebe Lipere (with whom she sang and played Djembe in his Moropa Orchestra). Congas with South African Alan Hayman.

Marcina is also informed in classical indian rhythms because of her extensive Kathak (indian classical dance training).


Marcina has sung with the Late Great South African Jazz Composer Pianist Bheki Mseleku. She has toured South Africa with Eugene Skeef’s Ngoma Project with the vocal group Shades appearing on South African National TV The Dali Thambo show singing dancing & percussion.

Collaborations include British Saxophonist Steve Williamson, British Trumpeter Byron Wallen with whom she recorded on his first 2 albums the 1st album Sound Advice produced by Brasilian Percussionist Airto Moreira. Chart success in Japan with - Jazz Funk group Akimbo. Featuring on recordings with Peruvian Guitarist Manu Ventura, and the classic Anthony Tidd's Quite Sane Album A Child of Troubled Times. South African Kora & Songwriter Pops Mohammed with Shades which featured Zena Edwards, Julie Dexter, Mpho (Skeef) Mack, Louise Mills, Davina Wright, & Madala Gumede, Blues with Alan Scratch Prof Jones, Scottish traditional vocal group Stravaig.

Live work includes the late South African Diva Busi Mhlonga, Jason Yardes Acoutastic Bombastic, F’ire Collective, Brasilian Bassist Ricardo Dos Santos, Guitarists Eric Appapoulay, Alan Weekes, Jonathan Bratoeff, vocalist songwriter Vannessa Simon & UK soul music legend Omar. Cleveland Watkiss, Shlomo & Bella-Trix.

Marcina has been singing in public since she was 13 years old at folk festivals and sing arounds in Scotland with the guardianship of her aunt a traditional singer in the group Stravaig Including -Folk Vocals for Hughey Flint (supporting Irish Folk Royalty Mary Black).

As a singer-songwriter, I have meticulously crafted a catalogue of songs that strike a profound chord with audiences worldwide. With each lyric and melody, I spin tales that resonate deep within the hearts and souls of listeners, leaving an indelible imprint on the music industry. My extensive 30-year experience has not only refined my artistry but also enabled me to guide and inspire budding musicians and songwriters.


My artistic prowess extends far beyond songwriting. I am a multi-creative recording artist venturing into uncharted territories of musical expression. My performances are a mesmerising fusion of music, spoken word artistry, and captivating choreography, illustrating my ability to transcend creative boundaries.


Skills-Versatility is my hallmark; I take on roles in musical direction, dance, choreography, movement, yoga

 Motherhood, infusing my nurturing spirit with what I affectionately call "Mama Magic." My journey epitomises unwavering dedication to artistry, self-expression, and holistic well-being and peace. Working with children and creating children's stories & song.


Beyond my music, my label, Mouthy Music Records, embodies my commitment to authenticity and independence. With an exciting upcoming release titled "Evolution" scheduled for release in March 2025, I am relentless in pushing the boundaries of creativity, promising fresh sounds and heartfelt storytelling.

I have worked extensively in Education with amongst others

Glyndbourne Education, RSNO, LSO, LPO, WAC, Islington Music with GMSD, Mary Ward Centre, Ngoma with Umoya Creations, LEAP, Pembroke Academy, my education work is ageless and inclusive of all backgrounds and age groups.

I offer one to one specialist vocal training and group work.
